Ace German Shepherd Dog Chicago, IL

Meet Ace! He just turned 3 years old and was surrendered to a local animal control. Ace was adopted and quickly returned for having accidents, then sat for 3 months with no interest. Thankfully a foster stepped up and we were able to rescue him! Ace has been bounced around in his young life and is looking for a true forever home. In typical GSD fashion, he takes time to warm up to new people, but is a sweetheart once he’s comfortable. Ace is energetic and has a high prey drive, so no cats or small dogs, please. He is fostered with two other GSDs and does well! Ace would enjoy a playmate who appreciates his play style. Like any good German Shepherd, he will alert you to any visitors, delivery drivers, or suspicious activity. Ace is not one for a heavy hand and responds well to food and praise. He knows basic commands, is good on leash, and does well on car rides. Ace does well in his crate at night and when left alone, but is working on being calm when his fosters are home (FOMO!). He can get into things he’s not supposed to if left unattended or is bored. Ace loves toys, going for walks, and butt scratches! He can be a bit of a bull in a china shop, so older children in his forever home would be best!
