Location: Westchester NY
Ace of Hearts or Acey as his foster calls him is a stunnely handsome 5 year old neutered male Blue Brindle mix breed dog, with just the most beautiful markings the photos don’t do justice to. He has the most wonderful spirit, this boy is all smiles. He is so happy to be with people, his ears flapping in the breeze as he runs about with a big smile on his face. He never stops smiling, his tail never stops wagging, and his heart is open to all that life has to offer. He gives his heart to everyone. He’s a big goofball. And the only reason that ACE OF HEARTS wound up at the shelter at all is because his family developed allergies. That’s it! No bad habits, nothing wrong here. He’s a gem and his former family had nothing but glowing things to say about the boy who spent 5 years of his life with them, being their constant companion and friend.
Affectionate, friendly, outgoing and happy hearted, he was wonderful with adults, tolerant and good with kids, and thrilled to meet new people who came to the house or while he was out on walks. He has a sterling resume too! He previously lived with 2 adults and 1 child. Ace is described to be friendly/outgoing with strangers. Ace has lived/spent time with a 5 month old child in the home. Ace is described to be relaxed, playful, and usually tolerant of children. There were no other dogs in the home and Ace’s behavior towards other dogs in the shelter and with his foster indicated he needs to be in a single pet household, as he is not receptive to other dogs. He didn’t live with cats, so his behavior around cats is unknown. Ace has no bite history. He has a mass located on his right shoulder that is being evaluated and will be removed. He is neutered and up to date on all shots. He is mostly housetrained and has a very high energy level. Ace of Hearts is available for adoption in the Northeast through Pound Hounds ResQ.
