(Dallas, Texas) About Abbie ... we hate telling sad stories, but we need to tell Abbie's. Abbie's only 9 months old, and her previous owners kept her in an outdoor crate all the time, and Abbie was deprived of food. Abbie was in such a pathetic condition that someone in that neighborhood asked the owners to surrender Abbie to Angie. Abbie was so timid and scared of the world outside of the crate, and it took Abbie about a month and a few sessions with a trainer to gradually open up to all things.

Abbie is a sweet, sweet, sweet soul. She's still cautious to strangers, but once she realizes that your smiles are sincere, she immediately warms up, wriggles her butt toward you, and showers your hands with kisses as you were the royals.

Then if you give her an opportunity, she will sneak onto your lap and lean against your chest. Abbies uses her body to tell love.

Abbie was skin and bones about 2 months ago and has gained to 40 lbs now, and we think she can grow up to 45 lbs. Abbie plays well and bonds with another similar size young pup at Angie's.

With her traumatized experiences of being deprived of food for her most young life, Abbie's extremely protective of her food from other dogs. Abbie likes to eat alone, and just like a dainty lady, she doesn't want others to look at her while eating.

Abbie is fixed, up-to-date vaccination, crate trained, house training in progress and no cats. Abbie's new home will have a free session with our trainer to learn about helping Abbie settle in.
