24-086 Flint's Story

Flint, is an adorable, sweet and silly pocket Great Pyrenees mix, 1 1/2 year old & 68 pounds. He is moderate to low energy but playful with other dogs, fine with cats, too. He is a toy hoarder which is endearing to watch as he gathers up all the dog toys around the house and piles on his bed. He also plays fetch! He knows sit & down and is completely house trained! He is quite the snuggle bug!

He is a little shy at first but his personally is growing as his self confidence improves every day! His ideal home needs a fenced yard and an owner home more than not. *Another playful dog in the home is a must.*And an abundance of toys! He also needs an owner willing to give him time to adjust to a new home. Once he is adjusted he is a saint and loving sweet goofy dog. We do not recommend a home with small children only because he is not used to them.

To meet Flint in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application.

ADOPTION FEE Covers: Core vaccines plus Lepto and Flu, all boosters, microchip, dewormer until clear fecal test & spay or neuter when completed by a DSDA vet partner plus any necessary medical care. All dogs are on flea, tick and heartworm prevention and you receive the following month's preventatives complementary with your adoption!

* Adoption Fees:

Puppies (12 months and under) - $325

Dogs (over 12 months) - $275

Qualifications for Adoption: No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.

Must be home more than not.
Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.
Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address.
Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household.
Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting.
Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet.
Must have a secure fence if in a house.
All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.
DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas.
