1. Alley Cat Al
“I am one of the guys with Rescue Ink NYC. They like to call me Alley Cat, I am the “cat guy”. I live with 8 rescued cats, all with a story. This is Hope who sadly passed away of cancer last December. We were together for about 1 3/4 years. I found her in the pouring rain in a cold March day. She was laying in a parking lot, unable to walk and close to death. People were kicking her to get her out of the spot. I grabbed her she was very ill. Less than 4 pounds, very senior, missing most teeth, High fever, kidney infection, super high blood sugar, dehydrated, burned off paw pads, and soaking wet. It took us many months to until she great, gained weight, and her blood sugar became stabilized. Her doctor felt she was within an hour of death when I found her… She became the queen of the sofa, and was such a sweet loving cat. RIP Hope. I love you….” — Submitted by Al C. on Facebook
