Yoshi's Story
Some of you may remember Yoshi, our sweet and stunning boy who was adopted from us last year. Unfortunately, he was recently returned. His previous family shared that

he was struggling with urinating outside of the litter box, and despite their efforts and stating they have been working with their vet for the past year on it, they weren't able to resolve it.

When he came back to us, we requested his veterinary records several times so we could understand what had been done and determine the best next steps for Yoshi. Those records were never provided. We also contacted the clinic we were told he had been seen at, and while the owners did have an account there, they could not find records for Yoshi.

Since being back with us for the past month, Yoshi has not urinated outside of the litter box.

We want to be very clear - we are not saying he didn't have issues in his previous home. Our vets did diagnose him with bladder cystitis, a painful condition often triggered by stress. Now with pain medication, anti-anxiety support, and a calm environment, Yoshi has been improving every day.

.

Now we're looking for the next chapter in his story.

We are seeking a foster (or better yet, a forever home!) willing to continue monitoring him as he settles into a stable, loving environment.

Yoshi is about 3.5 years old, friendly with other cats, and adores all people. He is gentle, affectionate, and truly one of the sweetest souls you'll ever meet. He deserves a home that will cherish him and support his wellbeing.

The $75.00 adoption fee (
payable by cash or check only
) includes: spay/neuter; vaccinations, microchip; fecal testing w/ giardia, flea prevention, and FIV/FeLV testing.

Our adoption application may be found by going to: www.headinhomerescue.org; then click on the link to the adoption application. Cats for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.
