Meet Yoshi
Yoshi, Sox, and Nick Furry came into Rescue just after July 4th after being found hiding in a garage here in Grand Rapids. They were very timid and unsure of people, spending most of their day hiding under the bed in foster Mom’s guest room. After a few weeks of socialization, lots of snuggles at the Vet Clinic before their spay and neuters, and many teaser toys later - these babies are finally ready for adoption! Foster Mom says all three kittens now happily greet her the moment she opens the bedroom door, and have done well being introduced to strangers.
We aren’t certain if all three are littermates, but suspect they are! None are bonded with one another and can be adopted separately.
Yoshi is the only female in the gang. She has a very lightly colored tan coat with faint striping and is incredibly soft and floofy! She is by far the most adventurous of the group and eager to play with the newest toys. Yoshi does not let her littermates push her around and will happily accept all of the pets, scritches, and snuggles she can. She could sit with you for hours soaking up pets and will reward you with gentle purrs, a silent “mew” of appreciation, and nose boops. If you’re lucky, she might give you a lick of affection on the end of your nose!
My favorite things:
Teaser toys
Rattleballs that go around on a track
Feathery toys that move like birds
Wet food and squeezy snacks
Things I definitely don’t like:
Being held or carried around
The vacuum
About my personality:
Quiet - mews when very happy, but they normally come out as a gentle squeak or completely silent
Good with or without my brothers - I tend to play alone
I like to hide and be up high so I can watch my surroundings, hideouts and cat towers are my go to
Great with older kids and adults (hasn’t been around young kids)
Need someone who will respect my boundaries (like not being held or picked up)
Loves to be petted and snuggled all of the time. Foster Mom hasn’t seen me walk away from a snuggle sesh yet! She’s usually the first to stop (quitter!)
Out of both my siblings, I’m more likely to come sit on your lap, especially if it means extra affection!
Medium-High energy
I am spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
