Meet Yin

This absolutely gorgeous girl is Yin. She is living in a foster home right now but wants YOU to adopt her! Please call (219) 872-4499 for details on how to meet Yin via Zoom!

Yin is cuddly. Yin is a total sweetheart. Yin loves to be where you are! She is about one and a half years old and is spayed. She's done great with other kitties so if you have resident felines, she would love their company!

Here is what her foster has to say about her:

"Yin does well with children and other cats. She has not been around dogs. She doesn’t mind if your home or gone. She would do great in a home that is loud, quiet, doesn’t matter - as long as she has a warm place to sleep.

She likes to bird watch and makes little clicking noises at them. She sleeps 90% percent of the day. So if the adopter likes to nap she will snuggle right up and snooze right along with you. Nighttime is probably her favorite though. She likes to run around the house with her foster sister. She loves treats and playing with her cats toys. She would also love a scratching post.

Yin is not shy at all. She’ll come up and meet people with ease.

Her favorite toys are jingle balls. She doesn’t care for the anything on a stick LOL. She doesn’t like things waved in her face. She will chase after the ball if you throw it. But doesn’t bring it back. I think she would love a laser pointer. She likes catnip, she could probably take it or leave it.

She not afraid of any loud noises. My kids are crazy loud and it doesn’t effect her. I guess she is spooked if they run through the house, she jumps out of the way. But she doesn’t seem to be stressed at any time.

Yin is not much of a hisser or growler. At the beginning with introducing our cat to her, she was more calm than our cat. She just pranced around like she owned everything.

Whoever adopts her needs to be careful if they live with open doors constantly - she will try and sneak out to explore!

Yin lives with a 2 year old, 9 year and a 10 year old child. My 9 year old carries Yin around like a baby and she is really cool about it.

She loves to scratch on everything. So a scratching post would be awesome for her. She’s never marked on anything. She sleep on our son's bed, the couch, the window ledge. Whenever she’s comfy that’s not her bed LOL. She is litter box trained!

Honestly, there’s nothing to not love about this cat. She is really chill and just likes to hang out with you. She’s great around everyone and hasn’t given us any troubles. As long as you got some good wet food and a comfy place to sleep, she’ll be your best friend."
