Meet Yeti (FIV+)

Yeti is a 4.5-year-old sweetie looking for his forever home!

Looking for a hunk of love to keep your lap warm this winter? Look no further than Yeti!

Yeti has adapted well to indoor life and leaving his tom cat days behind. Yeti is an easy-going cat. He enjoys playing with the occasional toy - wand toys and Yeowww catnip are his favorites! He enjoys being pet and loved.

Yeti gets along with the other cats in the foster home, he likes to rub up against them as he's walking through the house. He also will bow his head in hopes of a lick from another cat or a head bump. Yeti really wants to be in a home with another cat that will enjoy his company. They don't have to be best friends, but he does want a friend. Yeti does think he's the boss (a gentle boss) so an alpha cat may not be the best fit for him. He is in a foster home with kittens and could be adopted with one if you are looking for two cats!

Yeti enjoys looking out windows and napping next to his foster while they work from home. Yeti loves napping in a big soft bed - he's all about comfort! At night, he enjoys sleeping in bed next to his person. Yeti is a lap cat and will come over to his human to snuggle and get pets. He especially loves having his head pet and scratched. If you stop before he's done, he'll nudge your hand with his head gently asking for more love. Yeti also seems to know his name and will come when called - he even seems to recognize his nickname, Yeti Spaghetti.

Yeti uses the scratching post in the home (he likes vertical and horizontal scratchers), he has no litter box issues, and enjoys eating both wet and dry cat food. Yeti has not been exposed to young kids yet, he has seen a dog through the window and did not hiss or seem that impressed.

Yeti is a healthy cat, but he is FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV is not transferred to humans or dogs but can be transferred to other cats through a deep penetrating bite. Cats with FIV can live a normal and healthy life and should have annual vet check-ups with your vet. Yeti is currently in a home with non-FIV cats and gets along with them great. Since Yeti gets along with other cats, he could live with friendly cat(s), or be your one and only. Apply now to meet Yeti!

There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate.

Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
