Meet Xena

Meet Xena!

Rescued from the streets of Paramount, Xena is one of the most sweet & affectionate cats we've ever met. She is fully vetted and has received recent bloodwork and dental work as she is a senior. We are looking for a family to make the remaining years of her life as comfortable as possible as she's had a difficult life outside on the streets.

Xena's positive energy is so fulfilling to be around. She loves to be brushed, pet, and interacted with. She also loves catnip rainbows!

Currently in foster care in Fountain Valley, CA. We can transport to approved adopter in LA county and some parts of OC. Foster-to-adopt is always an available option and recommendation.

To begin the application process, please fill out our application here: https://form.jotform.com/212117959297062

We will try our best to be in touch within 24-48 hours.

Thank you!

Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats in ALL of our other spare time. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue.

One of our 2 main focuses is to remove friendly cats from the streets, get them healthy and vetted in foster care, and find their purrrfect forever homes!

Our other main focus is TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccination of unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis. We currently TNR roughly 24 cats/month.

When space allows, we also pull death-row cats from local high kill shelters, manage them in foster care, get them up to date on their healthcare, and match them with their new forever family.

If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets.
If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments.
Please send us an email at delgatorescue@gmail.com to be a part of our rescue community. Thanks for your support!
