Meet Winter
Winter is a 9.5-year-old cuddly kitty with tons of personality, looking for her forever home!
Winter is a very affectionate cat who loves to be loved up, on her terms! Winter is a sweet girl that is hard of hearing and can be shy when getting acclimated to her new environment as she figures out her new space is safe and void of other animals or children. Winter is great at giving her people healthy queues when she wants more head and neck pets, or if she's happy just sitting in your lap but would prefer not to be petted. When she wants more loving, she's look back at you as if to say, "hello, more please!" and will chirp or leave if she is overstimulated or petted on her back or sides.
Winter loves to curl up in cat caves and fluffy beds in the sun or warm spots - including your lap! She loves being with her people and enjoys exploring, looking out the window, playing with teaser wands, pouncing after lasers, and kitty-kicking catnip-filled toys!
In the morning, Winter paces and makes little high-pitched chirps as you prepare her breakfast. While she enjoys her meal, she gets her thyroid gel applied to her ear, and doesn't mind one bit. During the day, Winter enjoys long naps in the sunshine and jumping up in your lap for a warm snooze and snuggle. In the afternoon, Winter likes to explore her surroundings, and in the early evening, she likes a good play session before dinner. After a good romp, she'll lay down to let you know she's tuckered out, and ready to settle for the night. Nearly 10 years old, Winter may initially seem like a shy and low-energy cat, but when she has the chance to blossom in a calm environment that can give her the attention she deserves, she shows a more playful side that enjoys the opportunity to be active with her humans.
Winter's ideal home will have cat-savvy adults willing and able to care for her medical and dietary needs. Between her medication and the food that she is on to keep her healthy, Winter's cost of care is about $20/week. A calm and low-energy environment will allow Winter to be the amazing cat that she is in her golden years. Winter loves her humans and would do best in a home where at least one person is home during the day and okay with her snuggling up in their laps and on their bed. Winter doesn't need a ton of space for play, more importantly than a large space, is a home that will provide her with attention (snuggles) and stimulation (play).
There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate.
Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
