Winkie (Courtesy Post)'s Story

Winkie (dob 7/10/24).
Miss Winkie still has much of a kitten's curiosity, energy, and playfulness. Yet she can chill out at length with her humans, sometimes on a lap or at our feet if we're stretched out, or when someone is sick or feeling sad and just needs company. She gives and receives affection, but usually on her own timing and terms. She loves and seeks outdoor time, but when outside she always stays right around the home. Routines and schedules are important to her; she reminds us when it's time for dinner or for going to bed, almost per the clock. She takes the alpha role in our group of two, as much because of the other cat's timid personality as because of her own more assertive one. Her favorite toys are string, long strips of cloth, a ball that, when rolled, dispenses kibble, and anything round that she can push and chase. Not picky about food, she does prefer seafood flavors. No evidence of any food allergies, nor of any hairballs.

We hope she finds a home that will give her plenty of space and opportunity to run, play, and explore, inside or out.

Up to date on age appropriate vaccines, deworming, and flea prevention. Negative for felv/fiv combo test. Spayed. Microchipped.

First time pet owners, a personal reference is required. Must be over 21.

Current pet owners, pets must be fixed and up to date with vaccines. Vet reference required.

Owners moving to take care of elderly relatives and the home environment will not be suitable for Miss Winkie.

Contact Mathew and Becky at 651-472-3845 or bswora@comcast.net to meet this sweet girl.
