Winchester Domestic Short Hair New Haven, CT

Winchester was saved from the street by our friends at another shelter. When rescued, Winchester was suffering from a serious, deep injury to his shoulder area and upper arm. He had an open wound that went nearly as deep as the bone!

ER docs recommended amputation, something that exceeded the resources of the other rescue, so Winchester came to HHR. After two months of vet care- antibiotics, pain meds, x-rays, blood work, and more- and time spent in foster care, Winchester has made a FULL recovery. AND we were able to save his leg!!

Winchester is a gentle, friendly boy looking for a home to love him. He gets along fine with other cats, but needs a home without dogs. He is an outgoing guy, so we think he'd do well with children as well.

Winchester is about 2-3 years old (maybe younger). He is neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, microchipped, feline leukemia negative, FIV POSITIVE, and is current on flea/tick preventative.
