Meet Wilbur

WILBUR is a medium-haired grey and white male cat, estimated to be 7 years old. The first thing you'll notice about him is how social he is! He has yet to meet a stranger he doesn't like and loves flopping over on his back for belly and neck scratches. He will consistently curl up next to you and press his head into your leg for attention. Like many cats, he's especially helpful while you're busy with paperwork or on your laptop. When he's not napping or cuddling, he stands guard watching neighborhood wildlife through the window. He especially enjoys feather toys and is an adventurous eater as well. He loves to be combed and petted, but will let you know when he's had enough once his tail starts to twitch. Due to his overly playful nature, he is not ideal for young children. Wilbur may have a desire to go outside, which will require a diligent adopter to ensure his safety or provide him with a safe and confined outdoor space, like a catio. He was initially trapped by one of our cat rescue group volunteers and placed in foster care when volunteers saw how friendly he was. As is to be expected with a cat approaching middle age, Wilbur is showing early stages of kidney disease and is on a preventive renal diet. Because of his social nature, Wilbur would do best with another mellow cat or dog with a slow introduction. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt Wilbur will love his sunny disposition! He is sure to bring a lot of joy and warm companionship to his forever home.

Wilbur has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and includes a free wellness vet visit with our vet partners. To meet Wilbur in foster, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 days for a possible meet and greet. The $100 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. ID#2104-C0188
