White Owl came to us from an animal control facility.
ABOUT:
White Owl is a very sweet, gentle, low maintenance girl. She loves attention and doesn’t mind being carried or held. Her motor is always running when you’re giving her attention. But as much as she loves attention, White Owl is more laid back and prefers to get used to her surroundings more slowly. You might think she does not like you at first, as she won’t run right up to you, but over time as she gets comfortable she will seek out your companionship more and more. She still enjoys taking naps in the quiet/calm/security of her foster’s closet during the day. White Owl is nothing but sweet and gentle, but because she prefers a more quiet, calm, and predictable environment we feel her best home is one with no children or only older/calm children.
At around 10 years old White Owl is past the playful kitten stage. She will occasionally play with a toy here or there but is generally unimpressed with them and her interest is short lived. She’s more interested in lounging and hanging out. White Owl is incredibly tolerant of handling. Her foster home had to give her a bath upon arrival and she did not put up a fight nor squirm around much. White Owl is being fostered with a dog and they are completely comfortable with each other but they do not interact nor even seem to notice each other most of the time. Completely comfortable/relaxed coexistence. We do not know how White Owl would do in a home with other cats.
White Owl is a lovely, low maintenance, friendly cat ideal for someone who is looking for company without the antics and mischief of a younger cat.
