Whiskey Domestic Short Hair Mix Durango, CO

A really kind person reached out to some of the rescues in our area about an injured kitten he had found. We're so happy we were contacted because this little one is now on his way to getting all better, thanks to everyone who stepped up to help.
Meet Whiskey ?
We don't know how this tiny 1 and a half pound boy ended up in the middle of a 4 lane highway with a bleeding nose and mouth. He might have fallen out of a car or got pushed around by the flow of oncoming traffic, but he was lucky enough to be spotted by a man in a big truck who pulled over, swooped him up, and saved his life.
We were able to get him right in to see the vet who determined that his injuries should heal up and that nothing is broken. He got some antibiotics and lots of smooches and cuddles while he was there, and then headed home with us.
Today Whiskey is has healed up from his facial wounds and is healthy and so loved. He purrs when we pet him, so it looks like he's on his way to being the sweetest little kitty around. As soon as he's big enough we will get him neutered and chipped and then he'll be ready to find his forever home!
We think Whiskey might be ready for adoption near the middle of June.
