West and North Shy NY Boy Kitties Tabby New York, NY

5m West was brought into shelter after being brought in from the streets to a home with many cats; the owner became overwhelmed and brought West to the shelter and we just got his brother North! West is apparently healthy. He avoided contact initially and still needs socialization although he is already rolling over so doing so much better. His sister was adopted out separately:((( and he misses her and is now reunited with his brother:)! Sometimes this kind of kitty is known as a spirit kitty--will take some time to warm up to his new human family but will be a great friend to his cat family--what we originally thought but he's made so much progress we think he'll be a fairly normal kitten! Patient experienced adopter who has a quiet home and will take both boys only need apply.

All our cats are in the NY area and can be adopted out of state. We do like to meet you so plan on picking up; if flying, in cabin only; in some cases we will help with transport.

Please note: kittens MUST be adopted in pairs or to households with age appropriate cat(s) to ensure proper socialization and companionship. NO exceptions! If you would prefer a solo cat, we are happy to recommend cats who would do best as solos. Cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/Felv tested, FVRCP and Rabies vaxed, and microchipped.

Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at cats@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application by Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too. Please come! And if you can't adopt, you can perhaps foster, volunteer, and of course, you can always donate!
