Meet Waffles
Waffles is a 9-month-old playful kitty looking for his forever home!
He’s been waiting for a while (see below for the full story) and has lots of enthusiasm for running around and being a goofy boy. He hasn’t found a toy he doesn’t like and enjoys interactive play with his foster with wand toys (NO fleece left out – he eats it), balls, a nylon cube he can tumble around in and ambush a toy you dangle nearby, boxes, catnip, a cat dancer, etc. He is a very ‘underfoot’ guy, so his family needs to be sure-footed. He’s enjoying some lap time, although he is more likely to plop down next to you to be pet.
Waffles can become overstimulated and get ‘bitey’ so bracelets are a no. Before he gets too wound up, re-direct him with an interactive toy or by tossing several toys for him to chase. He also likes to wrestle with and bite ‘stinky feet’. Because of that there should be no children in his home.
Best as an only cat – he is definitely the dominant one and would take the opportunity to chase, growl at and intimidate another cat.
Waffles has a small scar on one cornea from his early infection which looks like a small cloud. It does not impair his vision at all.
Waffles eats a prescription diet and will come with a generous supply – he can probably be weaned off it successfully by the time he is a year, or sooner.
(Waffles came to Pet Haven the end of Dec. 21, presumed born the end of Sept. 2021. He was found in a recycling box with his sister and brother, outside – all had upper respiratory infections and Waffles had an ulcer on one eye. They also had ringworm.)
There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate.
Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
