Hi! My name is Virginia Pine!
My shelter mom calls me Mama, because I came to the shelter with my four little 3-week-old babies. I was such a good mama and made sure to feed, clean, and love my babies so that one day they could be adopted. And, wouldn't you know, that's exactly what happened! They ALL found AMAZING homes, but now I'm hoping to find my own loving home.
I am around 2 years old and am the prettiest Torbie you've ever seen! I'm spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and have tested negative for FeLV and FIV.
I was formerly a stray kitty and was really shy when I first came to the shelter. I've REALLY made HUGE improvements though. I love to greet my shelter mom at the door whenever she steps foot into the shelter. I want pets so bad that I stand on my hind legs to give you head bops.
I'm finding that I'm getting passed up at the shelter because I'm not the first one to run to new people. Once you start petting me, I really show you how affectionate I am. I have the loudest purrs, and the tiniest meows. I like to give head bumps when I get really frisky.
My shelter mom says it's ok that I don't like to be picked up. Some cats just don't like it. It doesn't mean I'm not friendly or nice, because I'm definitely BOTH of those. I'm more of a lap cat, rather than a cat you can carry from room to room.
I get along with all the other cats at the shelter. I would prefer a calmer household, just because it may take me some time to acclimate and become comfortable. My shelter mom says one of the most rewarding feelings is when a cat who is a little bit shy starts to trust you. Wouldn't it be amazing if you gave me a loving home for the rest of my life?
