Violet (bonded with Max)'s Story

**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**

***Violet was moved into foster with 2 younger ginger boys, Max and Morty, because she needed the company of playful kittens. To continue that kinship, Violet and Max must be adopted together.

Violet is timid around new people and unfamiliar situations, often choosing to watch from a safe distance rather than dive right in. She takes her time to build trust, carefully observing before getting close. But once Violet accepts you, her affectionate nature blooms, and she will curl up happily beside you and purr contentedly. She has learned to be the best WFH assistant by jumping onto a ready lap parked in front of a computer, so she can offer steady purring as stress-busting and soothing ambient sound. To expedite trust-building, Churu treat is the way to go!

Violet has great litter habits and good appetite. She loves Max and Morty, and will share cuddles, grooming duty and playtimes equally with the boys. Although she still startles easily by sudden, quick movements or loud noises, Violet will reacts with instinctive hiss and skitter away, but calms down quickly when nothing bad happens. The more she settles, the less reactive she will become.

The kittens are in a foster home with two small, calm dogs, and Violet has now claimed them as part of her pack. She cuddles right up to them as if they’re her big brothers of a very different mother. Cross-species friendships are the most rewarding sight to see!

If the three mouseketeers cannot continue their adventures together as a trio, Violet and Max can make a great duo of confident, affectionate and cuddly kitties ready to conquer hearts and home. Let them bring their magic —as only orange tabbies can — and transform your world into a beautiful place.

Would you like to make Violet and Max a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it's twice the fun for you, and half the work!
