Viktor & Vladimir Domestic Short Hair Mokena, IL

Please meet Viktor and Vladimir! These handsome 2 year old brothers made the long trip to NAWS from Kansas where they were at risk of euthanasia in a high kill shelter. We are not sure what happened in their past, but they were not very trusting of humans when they first arrived. Time in a foster home has greatly benefited them - they are making constant progress. They are much more trusting, confident and happy cats. It is now time for them to meet their forever family, and we would like for them to find a home where they can stay together.

Viktor was initially quite timid, but has transformed into a cat that now follows his foster around and usually enjoys pets. He even likes to sleep on his foster. Viktor loves mealtime and will meow when he believes it is time to eat. Once he receives his food, he shows his good manners and gratitude with a few rubs against his foster before he eats! He loves to play with pipe cleaners, springs and small balls. The laser pointer is always a hit!

Vladimir is a little more reserved than his brother. He is still getting used to human affection and being petted. However, he loves to follow his foster around and likes to be near her - he even walks on her when she is laying down and sometimes sleeps near her. Vladimir is a smart kitty who knows the word “ready” and associates it with play time. He loves when his foster throws toys for him to chase and he has quite the vertical jump!

Viktor and Vladimir have come so far and are now playful and social cats. They will likely still need a little time to adjust to a new home, but with love and patience, we are confident they will thrive in their forever home and make amazing companions.
