It is time for this sweet girl to finally find her forever home! Please meet 9 year old Venmo - knowing all that she has been through makes us more motivated to find her a loving home - she has certainly earned it.

Venmo has a tragic backstory - she was found in a home with her owner who had sadly passed away. She remained alone at the home for around two months with her only contact with people when they brought her food. She was eventually brought to a local animal control where she was then at risk of euthanasia. Luckily, she was brought into the NAWS rescue program. Venmo was initially scared at our rescue and in need of some TLC. Since the adjustment to our busy rescue environment was difficult for her, we placed her in one of our loving foster homes where she could relax and feel safe and loved.

Although it took some time to gain her trust, Venmo has made progress and now enjoys being petted and hanging out near her foster. When she is in sweet and lovable mood, Venmo is adorable. When she wants attention, she will let her foster know - she knows what she likes and prefers for it to be on her terms. She would love to find an quiet home where she can be a couch potato and companion. She accepts the other cats in her foster home, but is mostly an independent girl. When she plays, it is mostly by herself.

We can’t help but believe that the events in her past have shaped Venmo into the cat she is today. But we also believe that there is the right home out there for this independent girl - a place where she can feel loved and safe without too many demands on her. We know there are adopters that truly want to make a difference in the life of a rescue animal that has been through a lot. Well, Venmo is one of those cats. She has waited a long time. She needs a compassionate, patient and understanding adopter who is committed to giving her the best life possible.
