Meet Urban
Urban is a friendly and adventurous fella who would rather not spend more time at our shelter than needed. This little guy was brought in through our partnering Animal Control when he was found wandering the streets on an injured foot. It's safe to say he hardly notices his small handicap and would much rather focus on the fun things in life, like snacks, toys, and exploring new spaces.
Upon examination, our vets noted that Urban was non-weightbearing and had two small, draining wounds on his right front leg. Because these wounds appear to be bite wounds of unknown origin, Urban is on a mandatory precautionary 4-month quarantine, and will need to remain under your rescue's care until 6/16/21. We're currently treating him for pain and inflammation, and if swelling persists, x-rays are recommended. A full medical summary can be provided upon request.
While his picture doesn't do him justice because he's constantly on the move, Urban is a very social and loving fella who would definitely benefit from getting out of his kennel. Urban will be available for rescue pick-up COB 2/18, but we'd love to secure placement for him in the meantime. Please let us know if your organization can help!
Urban will be vaccinated and tested for FIV and feline leukemia. He would would do neutered by appointment after he has gone to foster care
Please e-mail us if you're interested in Urban. Be sure to include your phone number in your message. Please limit inquiries to the Greater Washington, D. C. area except for barn cats.
