Meet Tuxy
Please contact Kristin (cats@arrcolorado.org) for more information about this pet.
Hi I'm Tuxy! As you can tell, I am ear-tipped which means I was spayed as a street kitty. I was an outdoor kitty who was 'cared' for by a lady who never fixed her cats. My caretaker disappeared and me and my many friends were left to care for ourselves. A nice lady found us and eventually took me (and my friend Jolene) into foster care. I'm now enjoying the indoor life and I'm ready to find my family!About me:Very mellow and laid back - I'm happy to be safe indoors and nap in a snuggly spotI'm a gentle soul at heart - I am learning to play with other kitties without being afraid they will hurt me.I am a caretaker - I raised my babies on the street with so much love - and I LOVE to groom by foster sister.I can be playful! I'm not that boring................I love food - all kinds of food - my food and your food included! I've gotten a little chubbyI have the cutest meow/coo and the loudest purr. I even love to give kissesI should likely be in a home with another gentle loving kitty so I can continue to caretake!About you:Willing to provide all the love and food in the world (but not your food!)Willing to provide a blanket tent so I can snuggle under the covers!A patient person who will give me some time to adjust to a new homeHas a friendly gentle kitty who can be my BFF that I can love on - and play gently withSomeone who wants to love me forever and continue to watch me grow and changeI am being fostered near City Park in Denver. Are you my new family who wants to show me all the love - I have so much love to give!
Children 9 and over.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!
$250 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes. These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
$150 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes. These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
$150 for kittens (6 months & under)
$75 for cats (older than 6 months)
$35 for senior cats (8 years or older)
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. Our adoption process is:
1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet.
2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
