Turlo, born approximately August 5, 2020, is a handsome tuxedo boy. We had his mom tested for FELV(Feline Leukemia Virus)/FIV (Feline Aids) and on 9/23/20 when she was being spayed so we would not have to test the kittens. Unfortunately, the mom tested positive for FIV (Feline Aids). As recommended by our vet, we waited until the kittens were six months old to test them for FELV/FIV. Turlow's two siblings, Tulia and Tundie, tested negative. Turlow, however, tested positive for FIV which means he does have the virus. This means, in general, his immune system is 'compromised.' You would never know it as he is a healthy, playful, and actually bigger than, not only his sister, but his brother too. He is exceptionally friendly, coming to you and demanding attention by walking back and forth, back and forth. And check out that perfect milk moustache! Used to small dogs.
Fosterer would love to see him adopted with his brother Tundie who is every bit as friendly and social as Turlow is. Recommend you research and/or talk to your vet about FIV+ kitties. (Fosterer has a stray that showed up almost 8 years ago. He tested positive for FIV. He will be estimated 11 years old this summer and is the picture of health. He lives outside 24/7 which he prefers - but loves his heat lamp in the winter.)
***NOTE*** Due to Covid19 virus concerns, Petco has discontinued our regular adoptions events until further notice. Adoptions may be held by appointments only. Please complete our online questionnaire. http://www.fluffbuddies.org/infoquestions.php
