Meet Tupie

If you're looking for a feline friend who is quirky and independent, TUPIE is the girl for you. Tupie, aged 7, is a lovely dilute gray-and-orange polydactyl tortoiseshell cat. She comes with bonus toes on her front paws. This is a genetic condition that has no negative effects on her balance or overall health. In fact, polydactyl cats have been known to have superior balance and hunting skill, thanks to their extra toes.

Quiet and reserved, Tupie takes some time to warm up to new surroundings and people. With gentle encouragement-and the promise of yummy food-Tupie becomes more confident and social. Once she feels comfortable with you, she'll come when called, wanting pets and attention. She especially loves getting scratched under the chin. She's very food oriented, and she makes a cute little cooing "brrrrrup!" sound when she sees that dinner has been served. While not a lap cat, Tupie is an affectionate girl with a loud purr who enjoys quiet attention and love. She was rescued from a colony of stray cats, and after discovering that she was friendly, we decided to put her in a loving foster home. Tulpie has blossomed in the care of her foster, and is on the road to becoming a more confident and social cat. She needs to go to a quiet home where she can have time and space to acclimate to her new surroundings. She's a gentle girl and has never scratched or bitten, but she sometimes does give light "love nibbles" or put a paw out when she's had enough of something. Because of this, it would be best for her to go to a home with adults only or cat-savvy, older kids. Once Tupie becomes your friend, she'll be a friend for life.

Tupie has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and includes a free wellness vet visit with our vet partners. To meet Tupie in foster, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 2-3 days for a possible meet and greet. The $100 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. ID#2004-C0180
