Meet Tulip

Tulip is simply amazing! She is one of the spunkiest kittens you'll ever meet, with a unique and endearing personality. She had such a rough start, found emaciated with ulcerated eyes and a bad upper respiratory infection. But even then, her tenacity and will to live shone through. Slowly but surely, she recovered from her URI and we got her eyes healthy again, although the blindness is permanent. Her eyes don't require any daily care, and she is scheduled to have one eye removed in September. (We can discuss her visits with the eye specialist in details when you meet her.)

When she's not bouncing off the walls playing, she is 100%.a lap cat. When she's done playing, she will find you anywhere in the house and climb into your chest or lap, where she'll curl up for hours. She also loves to sleep on the pillow next to your head and purr you both to sleep.

She is very playful and active, and we could tell she wanted badly to play with other cats but was also very defensive and guarded because she was at a disadvantage. Because she was found alone, she didn't have a buddy she already knew, so we introduced her to Rosie (https://www.petfinder.com/cat/rosie-48770845/ga/atlanta/meow-or-never-inc-ga915/), a very sweet and loving kitten her age who could help Tulip adjust to having feline friends.

Within a week they were quick friends and now they roll around and wrestle together, chase each other, and bathe each other. They are such a joy to watch and both are cuddly and affectionate.

Because Tulip can't see to explore her surroundings, she uses her mouth to investigate so she is a little mouthier than many cats. Part of it is natural teething (and telling you when she's hungry!), but she does use her mouth when she detects quick movement around her. She will do better with older children who can be careful when she runs underfoot and understand how to play with her when she's being mouthy.

Her rough (and clumsier) style of play is hard for other cats to get used to, and she has a hard time making friends, so she must be adopted with her buddy Rosie who understands Tulip's personality and body language. Rosie is an adorably sweet kitten in her own right, so the home that adopts these two is going to be very, very lucky!

Tulip and Rosie are spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and flea-free. They tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

As of early August, the girls are about 3.5 months old. To meet them, complete an application at tinyurl.com/meowornever.
