He shares a room with his sister Gwinny and the two of them are so patient with each other and take turns with everything - from eating, to getting pets, to playing with toys.Tristen loves all toys and even brings his favorite into bed to share with his human in the middle of the night. Tristen has met other cats in his foster home, and he has been easy going and laid back with all of them. He really likes the kittens he's met, and it seems he enjoys the idea of being fun Uncle Tristen. Tristen is a master at making biscuits. He will make them on your back or your legs. At night he likes to sleep on the bed but, ever the gentleman, he lets Gwinny sleep near the top of the bed while he takes the lower half of the bed. He is such a sweet and easy going boy. Tristen will make a great companion to a lucky human. Apply today!

If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Apply for a CAT:

City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is a foster based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR&CK has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first served model).

Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter (unless specified). We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDR&CK. City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Cat specific: Rabies, FVRCP, Feline Leukemia vaccines. They are tested for FIV and FeLV, when age appropriate, but not when born to a negative mother in foster care.

Most cats and dogs will have a house training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.

We also update our Facebook page daily with new cats and dogs.
