Tommy is FIV positive, but don't let that discourage you. There are many misconceptions about FIV, but the truth is, cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives, often showing no symptoms at all. FIV is only transmitted through deep bite wounds, not through sharing food, water bowls, litter boxes, or toys. FIV positive cats can even coexist happily with non-FIV cats in the same household.
