Tofu's Story

Every so often when we TNR cats we discover one that is incredibly affectionate and clearly not feral. Tofu made it very clear during her recovery period post spay that she had no desire to return to her colony and would much prefer to enjoy the luxuries of an indoor life! This cutie starts purring anytime her foster parents even glance her way. All she wants to do is snuggle and headbutt!

We suspect she didn't have the easiest life prior to being rescued, having litter after litter. She is likely the grandmother to Sardine, Anchovy, Flounder and Josephina and the mother to Soy and Bean. Regardless, she is done with her rough living and no more endless litters for her!

She is a pretty big cat, almost 13 lbs! She is very very affectionate with humans and is always looking for love or food.

Tofu doesn't seem to enjoy being around other female cats. Males she tolerates. With slow intros she would likely be fine with other male cats in the home.

Like lots of other cats we get from Cleveland, TX, Tofu has a strong dislike of dogs. Very strong. There are many stray and loose dogs in that area that are known to attack other animals, so its possible she has had a bad experience in the past.

She is fixed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, on flea and tick preventative, microchipped and FeLV/FIV tested (negative).

If you would like to do a meet and greet, please submit an application here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HPPL/Cat

Please be sure to check your junk folder if you start an inquiry on Petfinder!
