Meet Toby
5-year-old Toby is an affectionate and playful feline who loves chasing toys, catnip, and supervising his foster mom while she works from home. His foster mom tells us that he has the best zoomies! He joined Ten Lives after a Good Samaritan reached out for help. They had been lovingly caring for Toby for four years and felt that he would be much happier and safer living indoors.
With support from his foster mom, Toby has blossomed in our Forgotten Feline program and is now looking for a loving adoptive family. Toby loves to snuggle up with his foster mom or lay by her side while receiving belly rubs. He enjoys being close to his foster mom and often hangs out at her desk while she works from home. He's also a fantastic feline roommate and very respectful of his feline foster sibling.
With support from The Lazzy Fund, Toby received a much needed dental and is feeling like a million bucks! Due to his time living outside, Toby is FIV positive; however, he is currently healthy and thriving. His ideal home would include an adopter who will give him the time and support he needs to blossom in his new home. Although shy upon first meeting, food is the way to his heart!
Please submit an application if Toby could be your next feline family member.
About FIV:
Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is a cat-specific virus that is transmitted through deep bite wounds that are typically seen with outdoor male cats who are not neutered and fighting over territory. It cannot be passed onto humans or dogs, and is not transmitted through shared litter boxes or bowls. To learn more about FIV, please visit the link below.

ABOUT TEN LIVES:
Ten Lives is a foster-based program and does NOT have a brick and mortar facility with regular visiting hours. We are a 100% volunteer-powered organization and require an approved adoption application prior to scheduling meet and greets with animals. This is out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, as well as helping to ensure our animals are matched to the homes that best meet their needs.
We require that all applicants have a satisfactory veterinary reference and provide proof of homeownership OR landlords approval. We will contact all applicants who meet our minimum requirements within 96business hours of receiving your application.During kitten season wait times may be longer. We ask for your patience as we are all volunteers!
All Ten Lives cats are spayed/neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, are tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
