Tightrope came to us with her littermates as an owner surrender from an accidental litter.

ABOUT:
Tightrope is a sweet, vocal, social, cautious girl. Tightrope is very curious in new situations, but she prefers to take some time to take the situation in before deciding if she wants to get involved. She enjoys to be held and snuggled and will often seek out a person when it is nap time. She loves to snuggle up next to her foster mom.

Tightrope has had some distanced introductions to the resident dog and she is curious, but a bit uncomfortable. We think she will integrate well into any home with cat-friendly dogs who are used to living with cats and will not be overwhelming. Tightrope enjoyed her siblings' company but she is not taking to the resident cat and prefers they keep their distance, so she would do best in a home without any resident cats. Tightrope is not being fostered with children, but we imagine she will be comfortable with them. Because she is a fan of rough playing his best match will be with children who are old enough to tolerate this style of play.

We generally recommend that kittens be adopted into homes in pairs (when available) or into a home with another playful cat so that they have someone to play with to help keep them out of mischief. Tightrope would probably love being adopted into a home with a social cat or dog, but we think she would be ok as an only pet as long as her adoptive family is committed to giving her the attention and enrichment that kittens require.
