Here's the story of Tiger Lily: Theresa [the founder of our shelter] saw a cat galloping down Linden Blvd. She ran across streets without looking, she just was bolting.
Theresa, with just pure luck was able to follow her. Once the kitty smelled the food she stopped running and came closer. Theresa sat under a truck for about half an hour to coxed cat to take bits of food, then she went back to her van and got a carrier. By only a miracle and lots of prays she was able to get kitty to follow the food inside the carrier and shut her in. She is around 6 months, terrified; we have no idea what happened to her but she is petrified with fear. She is obviously not feral just scared. She also is quite thin but looks healthy otherwise. She does have some scarring over one eye and a bit thin but otherwise seems healthy. Catching her, without a trap, on a busy street, was a tiny miracle.
We called a kitty Tiger Lily, and now she was spayed and tested. She is looking for a good foster or forver home to help her overcome her fears and start trusting people again. She is not a lap cat and will probably need a lot of work to gain her trust, but if you do this, you will have the most loyal furfriend ever!
