TIA is a gorgeous LAVENDER CREAM TORTIE-POINT HIMALAYAN. She is six years old, spayed, weighs nearly 10 pounds, and has her claws. She’s ACFA registered and comes complete with her certification papers. This baby wears a gorgeous pale lavender coat offset by brilliant sapphire eyes and breed-standard rose nose leather.

Tia came into foster care about six months ago after her family could no longer care for her. She previously lived with many other cats and was initially terrified of humans. Her foster family has worked to socialize her, and she is learning to trust people. Tia is still very cautious around humans and although she purrs and loves to be petted if you insist, her initial reaction when her foster family enters her room is to run behind the door. Tia is asking for a patient home that will continue working to socialize her and teach her that humans can be her friend. She’s very sweet and is never aggressive, although she will hiss if she’s frightened.

Tia’s coat is silky soft and doesn’t mat like many Himmys; in that way, she would be good for someone new to the breed. Still, she’ll benefit from occasional brushing once she settles into her new home and begins trusting her new family. Tia loves other cats and would probably do best in a home with another fur baby or two she can pal around with. Small children would be too much for Tia – she’s asking for a quiet house with a patient family where she can blossom in her own time. Older, respectful kids would be fine – but she will do best in a house without sudden loud noises or too much traffic. It will be important for her new family to understand how to carry out slow introductions and prepare a safe room for Tia where she can adjust to her new surroundings until she is ready to explore.
