It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.


THUNDERBOLT and LIGHTNING were living in a neighborhood in San Pedro, California. He was picked up by a nice lady. She then reached out to a rescuer and then to us. Long story, they are both safe with us.


Here is the information his rescuer gave us:

Hi hi hi!!! THUNDERBOLT here! I am a chatty boy with a passion for snuggles. I may be a little shy and nervous at first, but I warm up quick and THUNDERBOLT into comfort! Don't let my name fool you! I am a big softie that is obsessed with snuggles. As soon as my foster mom walks in, I'm jumping in her lap, meowing for pets, running my purr motor on full blast. I'm just filled with sweetness and demands for cuddles. I can be a real ham for attention! I love to play, explore, snack nap and snuggle. I check all the boxes for a perfect storm. If my blooming personality cracked into your hear, come take me home today so we can THUNDERBOLT into our FUREVER!


THUNDERBOLT has only known the street life for a short time. He is now living a nice pampered life. As you can see in the pictures, he is loved and spoiled. He likes to cuddle with his foster siblings and brother LIGHTNING. He has a sweet friendly face and is so much fun! We truly believe that THUNDERBOLT and LIGHTNING need to be adopted together!


THUNDERBOLT is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / EGYPTIAN MAU-TABBY MIX. He is about 9 months old and is good with cats and dogs. He has never been around young children.


THUNDERBOLT is currently at PETSMART in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue.


ADOPTION PROCESS:

1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT)
2. Fill Out Online Form
3. Submit Online Application
4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview
5. Will be notified of Approved Application
6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)
7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty
8. Sign Adoption Contract
9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)
10. Take the Kitty Home

MAY 2023: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees.


Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is at 4 pm - 9 pm. They are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3 hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability.


The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below.

The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the adoption interview and home check have been done.. Gas donations always appreciated!

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.


Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.


We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient.

Neuter
FVRCP shots
RABIES shot
FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative)
Drontal Dewormer
Stronghold Flea Control
Microchip


We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.
