Thor's Story
Meet Thor đŠī¸đ¤
They named me Thor because I appeared on a porch in the middle of a thunderstorm--drenched, hungry, and silently pleading for help. It was like the storm itself carried me to safety. That night changed everything.

I'm about 4 years old, a soft and soulful black and white boy with eyes that have seen more than most. You'll notice my ears are almost invisible--they're very small due to old aural hematomas that caused the cartilage to harden. Though they look a little unusual, they don't affect my hearing at all. I hear every soft-spoken word and every kind whisper. And I understand love when I feel it. đ I first came to the shelter as part of a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program. After I recovered from surgery, I was released back where I was found. But I knew I didn't belong out there anymore. A few days later, I came back on my own--quietly asking to be let inside again. That was the moment everyone realized: I wasn't just any stray... I had once been someone's beloved little prince.

How I lost my home is a mystery. But here's what I do know:
I'm gentle, affectionate, quiet, and kind. I get along with other cats, I'm tidy, and I soak up attention like it's sunlight. I don't ask for much--just a warm, safe place to rest and someone to love me for who I am: a survivor with a tender heart. đ

Now, I never have to go hungry again or brave the storms alone. I'm neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, recently dewormed, flea/tick treated, and have had my vet exam. I'm safe. I'm healing. And I'm ready to go home--for good this time. đ If your heart has room for a quiet, loving soul who's weathered life's worst and still believes in the best, call the shelter at 479-394-5682. I'll be waiting, watching the door, hoping it's you. đž
****************
All animals at HSO are current on their vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. If not already spayed/neutered, there may be a short delay between when you select this pet and when they are ready to go home.

Breed and age are determined based on observable physical traits. Actual lineage and birth date are rarely known.

Adoption Fees:
-$60 for cats
-$60 for dogs over 6 years
-$80 for dogs 6 months old to 6 years
-$100 for puppies up to 6 months

Come visit our pets Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-2pm.
