Little Tempe has been waiting for months for a forever home. He and his sister were rescued with many other cats from a hoarding situation. Even though he was born inside a home, he had almost no human interaction for the first weeks of his life and has been very skittish.
While his sister was adopted quickly after being rescued, Tempe stayed behind in foster homes to get the extra love and attention he needed. After months of working with skilled fosters he is finally breaking out of his shell. Tempe does not actively seek out affection, but has on rare occasions sat on his foster’s lap and immediately melted into a purring puddle that loves pets and snuggles. He is very interested in other cats as well and loves to play.
The perfect home for Tempe would have at least one other gentle and playful cat. We also recommend no dogs and no children as Tempe does not like any loud noises or sudden movements. He would need an incredibly patient owner who is willing to give Tempe the time and space to feel comfortable and who understands boundaries. Tempe is likely to always be a relatively aloof cat, but we have hopes that after finding his forever home he will be willing to share his cuddly side as well, it just might take some time and a lot of unconditional love.
