Meet Teddy

Hi there! My name is Teddy!
Yes I am a chonkster at 16lbs. I had been adopted but was returned due to litter box issues. I was taken to the vet the day I was returned where it was found that I had a UTI and the nice veterinarian and staff gave me lots of love and an antibiotic so now I am doing much better! I have been for a re check and they say I am doing well. My foster mom said I have had no litter box issues but that I can be picky when it comes to meal time because I was use to eating dry food and grazing when I wanted to eat...nom nom nom. She has worked to get me to eat more wet than dry food and says it is better for me. I am a very sweet and affectionate kitty! I have extra thumbs which makes me a polydactyl kitty! I love to be brushed and will tell you just how much I love the attention by turning up my purr machine to let you know don't stop brushing please! If you are seeking a sweet fella that has lots of love to share look no further I am your guy.

Ask about our Foster-To-Adopt Program! Kittens that are @ 8 weeks old can be placed into approved forever homes in a foster-to-adopt situation prior to adoption. To begin the process simply submit an adoption application located on our web page at operationhood.org. Once we receive your application our Adoption Coordinator will contact you!

Adoption Fee's:
Under 6 months – $150.00
6 months to 1 year – $100.00
Over 1 year – $75.00

The Foster-to Adopt program is in place for two primary reasons:

1.) To monitor the dynamics with other pets and make sure the addition to the family is a positive experience prior to the commitment to adopt.

2.) To allow the kitten(s) to be in and become comfortable with its’ forever home in cases where the animal is too young to be spayed or neutered. Once the kitten is of age and ready to be spayed/neutered we will arrange the appointment for you to take them in. There is not place like home to get lots of TLC and recovery is less stressful where you feel comfortable!

Please keep in mind the commitment when adopting kitten(s) as the the typical lifespan ranges somewhere between 13 and 17 years, according to the ASPCA. However, it isn't uncommon for indoor cats to live to at least 20+ years.

All cats adopted through Operation Hood have been or will be (depending on age) spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and receive FeLV/FIV tests, rabies vaccination, de-wormer, and flea & tick treatment.
