Tamlin came from a breeder/hoarding situation in Chattanooga, TN and is looking for his forever home with a family that will adore him, as he will adore them.
He is a 1.5 years old, extremely sweet, energetic, curious, super-friendly snow bengal boy. He has vivid blue eyes and glitter tinge fur. Tamlin loves humans. He’s never very far from his fosters when given free rein of the house. He purrs when being petted and when he’s eating, his favorite thing to do!. He’s great at showing you where he wants to be petted, and when he’s had enough.
Tamlin LOVES to play. He actively engages with automated mouse toys and loves chasing and catching ‘Da Bird feather toy. He is also quite happy to play solo soccer, kicking and then running after jingly ball toys.
Tamlin came to us with several medical problems which have been addressed. He had a recent dental cleaning and tooth extractions. A mild murmur was noted during his well check; his chest x-ray and proBNP were normal. Taken together, Tamlin needs his gums/teeth and heart murmur monitored during his annual well checks.
Tamlin has a history of loose stools. Full fecal panel is negative for any infectious cause. A dietary cause is now being assessed.
Tamlin has perfect litter box habits. He is very good at using scratching posts. On the rare occasion when he starts to scratch in the wrong spot, he responds quickly to “No” and learns quickly from instruction and positive reinforcement.
Based on exposures to the foster’s cats, Tamlin can join a family that already has a cat but the cat must be one that has the same activity level as Tamlin. The foster does not have dogs, but Tamlin’s behavior during limited exposures to neighbors’ dogs suggests he is not fearful of dogs. He has not been around children but would do well with older respectful children.
