Meet Sweetie Pie COURTESY POST

Sweetie Pie will be a great companion cat for the “right” person!! That person would be familiar with cats, their independent nature, they come to you when they want to be loved on, and they rule the house (lol!)
She is a 6 year old Calico, who is spayed, current on vaccines, declawed and microchipped. She must be an indoor only cat.
Sweetie Pie has been living (as a foster) in my (crazy, not so quiet at times) house since June/July and it took her some time to get used to new noises and my little zoo of 2 cats (they don’t get along) and 3 dogs. Now my dogs and cats do get along, just my oldest kitty likes to tell the younger (Maine Coon) that he is a pain in her booty when she just wants to sleep and he wants to irritate her..usually just by his presence (hehe!). Sweetie Pie wants None of that social circle! She is a Lone rider, ok. She wants to be the sole feline within the inside of the house and will let you know if any other feline comes to the window or door wanting to disturb her space (ha)! She had an issue with a heavy iron statue of a cat I have until she realized that it did not move nor smell (or hiss at her, lol).
Sweetie Pie was taken to a kill shelter in April of this year by a man after his wife died. He said “this was my wife’s cat and I don’t want her”. We can only guess why after 6 years he would surrender the cat (maybe he did not want to clean a litter box, maybe she reminded him of his wife)??
She is a beautiful Calico pattern and silky soft! She has lost a few pounds since staying with me, now weighing about 9lbs. She came to us as declawed and spayed, she has a microchip and is up to date on vacs too. I did just have some blood work and exam done at my vet which were all good (nothing negative found). She does better on a restricted diet to keep her weight down and decrease upset stomach. I truly believe a quiet home where she has her special 1-2 person to love on is all she needs. (Like I said my home is not all that quiet when husband, son, my 5 pets are co-mingling)
She ignores (tolerates my large and small dog), but absolutely hates another cat in her space!!
