Meet Sweet Charlotte

Sweet Charlotte once lived with a person who dumped her outside and left her to fend for herself. By the time she was found, she was pregnant and soon gave birth to two kittens, both of whom have been adopted. At only a year old, she's not much more than a kitten herself.

Charlotte is an outgoing girl who loves attention and LOTS of play, so she should be adopted into an active home where she won't be alone for very long, with people who will engage her often. Her foster mom says Charlotte follows her from room to room. She also gets along with the other cats and is becoming increasingly tolerant of the dogs , so we think a home with at least one other playful cat or dog would be ideal for her. She might be a bit much for very young children because she sometimes gets a little overstimulated from petting, but we think she'd do well in a home with older kids who understand how to treat cats. She's also on the petite side, so she's likely to retain a kittenish appearance for the rest of her life.

She has been:
- spayed
- vaccinated
- tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

Her adopter will receive her medical records. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need. She is being fostered in Somerville.

Cats can live up to 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time. If you can and will commit to her and provide a safe, loving home for life, then respond to RoyCBarrows@gmail.com. Please include your phone number for a faster response and say a little about yourself and the home you would provide as we try to match people with the right cats.

For the safety of all concerned during the pandemic, meetings are virtual; fosters are supplying short video clips of the cats to potential adopters and/or connecting via video chat, and adopters are making their adoption decisions based on that. This has streamlined and improved the adoption process.
