Sweet and shy Snowshoes has a heartbreaking story and needs a very special home.
This beautiful girl was abandoned in an office park in New York. This event traumatized her so much that the rescue that saved her knew she was not ready for adoption and would need time to learn to trust again.
The rescue reached out to Paws4survival and Snowshoes came into our care. For a long time if any person came into her space she would run and hide. After months of patience and reassurance, Snowshoes is now comfortable being in the same room as volunteers and will even come to the door to greet them. She has two toys she loves and will play with for hours and is so fun to watch with the sheer joy of her play.
Snowshoes is still not comfortable being touched but now that she is comfortable being with people we think she is ready to look for her very special home to give her the life she deserves and help her continue to develop trust and love with her forever family.
Her ideal home would have someone very experienced with cats who can give Snowshoes her own room with food water litter and of course toys to settle in and someone who is willing to be patient and help her continue to learn to trust again.
In return this sweet and beautiful girl brings so much joy from watching her happy play and enjoying her quiet companionship and sweet demeanor.

Snowshoes needs and deserves someone who can love her unconditionally and give her the time, space and support she needs to continue to learn to trust again and live the rest of her life surrounded by unconditional love, soft beds, window seats, good food and health care, patience and understanding and of course lots of toys.
