Sura was a stray found near Allison, Iowa. No owner could be found so she is now a WPR kitty and living in a foster home. Sura is now up to date on shots and spayed. She tested negative for FeLV / FIV.

Sura, Female Black Domestic Shorthair, 4 years old as of January 2021.

Sura is…
~ a petite sweet sassy girl.
~ a loving and playful girl.
~ fun girl that likes to be up high.
~ great with people, older children.
~ great with petting in small doses.
~ not a lap cat but she loves to hang around and be petted.
~ gets along with other cats and probably dogs with proper integration.

Sura is such a hoot! She walks around wagging her tail. I have only had a few cats that wag their tails. Not that weird swishing that means they are upset but wagging like a dog. She is a petite and sweet girl but also has a little sass to her. She loves to play and run around and get up high. She loves being around other cats. She loves to cuddle and rub against her best friend Leo, but she definitely isn't into other cats being in her bubble until she feels comfortable with them. She cracks me up with her little personality!

She would be great with other cats.

To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $200 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
