One Sunday afternoon, we received a call about a kitten with a bone sticking out of its back leg. They were calling from Washington County where the large animal shelter refused the kitten stating they lacked funds. NEVER wanting to see an animal in unnecessary pain, we drove 65+ miles to find the cutest little gray-striped kitten with a non-stop purr in spite of something like a dried chicken bone sticking from the top of her left-rear leg!

She was whisked to Dr. Morrow who gave the good news that it was her leg and NOT her hip; nevertheless, how long had that poor baby been like that? Dr. B speculated she was thrown from a moving vehicle. Immediately, she was hopping around her cage almost good as new! She's been named SUNNY due to her sunny disposition regardless of what happened to her!

SUNNY is just about ready for adoption, having been fully vetted! About 5 months old now, she is a wonderful, bubbly girl who turns that purr on as soon as you look her way!
