SUMMER's Story

For The Cats' Sake

SUMMER is an eight year old YOUNG kitty, who is full of love, and craving an adopter to give it to. We rescued her as a kitten in rural Rappahannock

County, back in 2017, and she was adopted by a local resident, along with another kitty called Meadow. Sadly, her owner became unwell and went into a nursing home this year, so we went to pick up SUMMER and her housemate, along with trapping an outside feral and her kitten! So in one day we increased our number of fosters by 4

but that is just another day in rescue...

SUMMER is a healthy cat, but needed a dental and some tooth extractions. We have gotten that done for her, so now she is ready to go to her second home! She's used to being an inside cat and is confident, friendly and has the sweetest personality. SUMMER would be wonderful addition to a family or as a companion for a senior or single person, and she get's along with other animals.

If you could open your heart and home to this deserving kitty, please fill out the application below and come visit!

https://form.jotform.com/81848821130152

We do not have a fixed adoption fee at For The Cats' Sake, but instead ask for a tax-deductible donation to our group. On average, we spend over $200 to cover spay and neutering, testing for FeLV and FIV, vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming and any vet care/medicine that is needed. We ask for a minimum donation of $80 per cat, and that adopters pay more if they are able to. Our goal is to find the best home for each animal, and we feel this policy makes it possible for more people to adopt one or more cats. It is important to us that every adopter can afford to care for their pets properly and give them a home for life.

TNR and a whole lot more...
