FIV is a cat-only disease and a slow virus that affects the immune system over a period of years. FIV+ cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. If they’re well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets.

All Bronx Tails cats are spayed/neutered (when age appropriate), vaccinated, litterbox reliable, and loving toward people.

We require adopters to fill out an application, have basic references checked, allow a home visit (to ensure conditions are safe and reasonable), and pay an adoption fee. We allow all adopters an up-to-2-week-long tryout period to determine if the cat is a good match for them. If not, we will retrieve the cat(s) and return the adoption fee in full. We will also help with tips and methods for introducing the cat(s) to other pets, if needed.
