2 years old. Stokes is available for adoption to be an indoor ONLY cat from Griffith Animal Control/Treasured Friends Rescue in Northwest Indiana.

Hellllooooo! Looking to have a poofy cheesy color kitty in your life? Here I am! I'm a soft! I'm orange! And I'm a cute! My name is Stokes! I just want pets, love and a home!
I'm lucky to be at the shelter. I was living outside in a trailer park with alot of other kitties. It was hard getting a full tummy because there were so many kitties all looking for food, but there wasn't much food. The nice person feeding us noticed I was a sweet kitty and wanted to help me. One day they scooped me up and I was brought to the shelter Yayyyyy!! Now I have my OWN food dish!! And I get wet kitty food everyday!! I can nap without worry!
I feel so much better!
Now I'm looking for my forever home !
I REALLY want my own home and someone (or a family) to love me. I'm a little older but I'm the sweetest boy & I still love to play! I love pets too! I also REALLY love naps! I love laying in my bed at the shelter, it's the best! I hope one day I can take long naps in a window and look outside and remember how lucky I am not to be out there anymore.
I might need a little patience and time to get used to a home but I'm a pretty " go with the flow" type of kitty so I might feel right at home with the right family or person!
Let's meet me at the shelter & see if we hit it off! I like other kitties so a home with another kitty (with the proper introduction) would be great! However, probably NO dogs. I'm a gentle nice kitty so older kids might be okay.

Griffith Animal Control, in partnership with Treasured Friends Animal Rescue believes in giving kitties that others wouldn't normally get a chance at getting a forever home, a chance! Our fosters & volunteers work with shy and/or unsocialized kitties everyday to get them used to being pet and to show them no one will hurt them. However, when they go to a new home, some kitties will require extra time to get used to new surroundings and different people. Please consider giving a kittie who might need a little time to get used to a new home, a chance.
