Meet Stevie! This handsome boy is so sweet and he will surely touch your heart. He absolutely adores his humans and never wants to leave your side. He is very energetic, playful and curious about everything he hears. Even though he can’t see, he will still manage to chase toys around the house, throw them up in the air and even catch them! Without his sight, Stevie is fearful about being picked up, but he definitely isn’t fearful about getting lots of snuggle time and chin rubs! He is a big kitten who will run at lightening speeds to get what he wants. His meow is super cute and it will get you every time!

Stevie came to us right after he had his eyes removed from the wonderful shelter of Salt Lake County. He was only 5 months old and everything was so new to him. The shelter asked us to take him, knowing he would adjust so much better in a home. We aren’t sure what happened to his eyes, but they were ruptured and had to be removed. Stevie’s foster family has been spending every day with him since we took him in and they just adore him. They say that he was so scared at first, but now he can’t seem to get enough attention. Fast movements or loud noises can be a lot for him, so his foster family talks with him every time they go in the room with him and is slow with him so he knows where they are at.

** Stevie MUST go to a home with another cat. (Or adopt a 2nd kitty from us with Stevie for ½ the adoption fee!) He needs an indoor-only, quiet home with his own space to have his cat trees, toys and other needed things. He needs a patient family who will continue helping Stevie be brave about his loss of sight, give him lots of love and all the attention he asks for. **

Stevie does well with other cats after proper introductions. He will take some time to get used to another cat, but once he does, he will never leave the cat’s side, since the cat will be his life teacher. He may do best in a home without dogs, but he has never been around any that we are aware of. He does well with respectful, calm, older children and he is litter box trained.
