Meet Stanley
I'm Stanley!
I'm a 9 year old gentleman who is trying to compete with all these kittens to get a second chance at a loving home.
You see, I came to the shelter after my human passed away. My whole life changed in an instant. I remember people coming and going- leaving me food in a big bowl because I might not see them for a day or two. I remember being anxious because my normal routine had changed. Most of all, I remember the loneliness I felt because my human was no longer here.
As you can imagine, the transition from a home to a shelter, as a 9 year old, was a little difficult for me. I'm not used to all these young kitten whippersnappers running around and getting into my personal space. I've really come A LONG way though, and seem to be able to coexist with other cats, as long as they leave me alone.
I'm good with all humans. I did live with dogs too, but they may have left me alone.
I love being petted. I'm very vocal, with an old man meow and a deep purr. I'm also the world's slowest biscuit maker, which I'm told is adorable. I wasn't really going for "adorable;" I was going for precision. It seems today's youth has lost the appreciation for the art of a nice, slow biscuit.
I'm neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, don't have a right eyebrow and tested negative for FeLV/FIV.
I wasn't sure where in this bio was the appropriate time to mention about my eyebrow. That seemed right, though.
So, what do you say? Will you give this gentleman a loving home for his remaining years?
