Meet Stan
Stan truly is the man. He is the life of the party - has never met a stranger and will make sure that you know he is there. He is great with other animals but also is not afraid to put his head in your hand for pets and push another furkid aside if he feels that is not getting his equal share. He is fearless, friendly and the first one to meet new guest (and show them where the treats are in case they want to indulge him). He is happy to watch bird/squirrel videos as well as sit next to you and advise on programming and what the best Netflix choices are. He is a renaissance cat for sure - he has abilities in so many areas - tv choices, treat sampling, snuggling, computer assistance. His services are endless and purrs know no bounds.
Stan's only drawback is that he needs some brushing. He has some super thick fur that is plush and luxurious but constant grooming is not his favorite thing - plus we think he likes to work whatever angle he can just to get more one on one time.
Stan is an FIV + boy. What does that mean? It means that when he was out in the wild not protected from feral unneutered tom cats that he was attacked. FIV can only be spread through deep in the muscle bites so it is a trying to kill you bite and not play fighting. Can he live with other cats? Yes. Is FIV anything to worry about? No. Does he have a chance to live a long life the same as a cat without FIV? Yes.
